[ARCHIVED] Proposed 2021 Single Member District Boundary Map

Elected members of the City of Key West Commission as of December of 2020

November 12, 2021

After reviewing the recent census bureau statistics, the City Commission-appointed Charter Review Committee has recommended some changes to the City’s six voting districts.

Those suggested changes are made available by clicking here.  Once on the page, click "ok" to proceed, and then click on the first link to get to the automated map where you can compare the current boundaries with the proposed new ones. To toggle back and forth on the map, just click on the layers icon in the upper right-hand corner and click back and forth on the single-member district box. You’ll see black lines appear. Those are the proposed new boundaries. When clicked off, you’ll see the current boundaries.

Every ten years, following the national census, the City appoints a committee to review voting district boundaries so that they accurately reflect the city’s population. The new district's boundaries will go before the City Commission as an ordinance on Tuesday, November 16th for a first reading.
