Business Tax Receipt (BTR) Fee Increase

The City Commission has approved the 5% increase to all BTRs. This increase will go into effect on July 1st 2022. For example, if your BTR fee currently is $108.00, the new fee July 1st will be $113.00. If you have any questions email licensing@cityofkeywest-fl.gov

Important Dates to Remember

The Licensing Division will issue 2nd renewal notices on November 23rd, 2021. There are many ways to renew.

mail in a check
pay at City Hall ( check , card , cash)
pay over the phone with a credit card

Payments by credit card will be charged an additional 2.25%

Penalty fees will be assessed a percentage based on the annual BTR cost. Please reference below.

October 1st - 10%
November 1st - 15%
December 1st - 20%
January 1st - 25%

Any delinquent BTR not paid by January 31st is subject to a penalty fee of $250.00 pursuant to Florida Statute 205.053.
