Contact Waste Management (WM) at 305 296-8297 to arrange for a pickup of the unwanted Bulk waste items. Place items for disposal on the right-of-way in front of your residence after you have called, and WM will analyze the size and type of material for discarding. Please be aware that WM will not accept bulk waste if it obstructs the street or a sidewalk, is placed against a fence, between parked vehicles on the street and a wall/fence or building, or under overhead powerlines even after you have called. They will pick up items for free if the bulk waste is less than two (2) cubic yards. If items are over two cubic yards, WM will provide an estimate for the service and collect prepayment. Once scheduled, WM has four business days to remove the bulk waste. Another option would be to self-haul the material to the City of Key West Transfer Station located at Mile Marker (MM) 9.
WM uses a grapple truck that requires clearance to pick up the items. To repeat, Waste Management will not accept bulk waste if it obstructs the street or a sidewalk, is placed against a fence, between parked vehicles on the street and a wall/fence or building, or under overhead powerlines.
