Online Contractor Registration Form

Starting July 16th, the Licensing Department have made registering as a contractor in the City of Key West easier. Through the City's website you can now go directly to the Licensing Division page for Contractors based outside of City Limits. To access this page and application, click here

New Guidelines for Revocable Licenses

The City Commission has approved to implement an annual fee for all revocable licenses for awnings and signs. The annual fee is $100.00 and is effective starting Monday, May 17th. Ordinance 21-11 permits Code Compliance to enforce the renewal of these licenses and enforcement for delinquent revocable licenses.

Important Dates to Remember

Licensing Division will begin accepting renewal payments for Business Tax Receipts beginning July 1st.

Local Business Tax Receipts (BTR) not renewed by
October 1st will be considered delinquent.
Penalty fees will be assessed a percentage based on the annual BTR cost. Please reference below.

October 1st - 10%
November 1st - 15%
December 1st - 20%
January 1st - 25%

Any delinquent BTR not paid by January 31st is subject to a penalty fee of $250.00 pursuant to Florida Statute 205.053.
