Riche Recognized for 20 Years of Service

Employee Recognition Posted on March 06, 2026

Riche 20 YOSThe City of Key West and the City Commission this week honored Community Services’ Jean Riche for his 20 years of dedicated service to the City.

The honor was presented by Community Services Director Marcus Davila.

Davila pointed out what 20 years of service means with heavy equipment operator Riche, who is responsible for street sweeping downtown: Simonton, Duval, and Whitehead Streets.

This translates to 9.6 miles per day, 48 miles per week, and 2,496 miles per year.

“Over the past 20 years,” said Davila, “Jean has driven 49,920 miles on these three streets. And that does not include the extra miles during Fantasy Fest or any other special events. Jean, you’re an amazing employee. Thank you for everything you do!”
