Taylor Brown brings more than two decades of public-sector experience at the federal, state, and local levels, with a strong record of leadership in city management, planning, and economic development. Before joining the City of Key West, he served as Executive Director of the Taylor County Development Authority and as City Manager in Perry, Mary Esther, and Trenton, Florida.
Throughout his career, Taylor has helped communities navigate major challenges and periods of growth by overseeing multi-million-dollar infrastructure projects, revitalizing downtown districts, expanding housing opportunities, and leading recovery efforts following natural disasters. His work consistently emphasizes collaboration, strategic planning, and sustainable community development.
Taylor holds a degree in Urban Planning and Communication from Arizona State University and has pursued graduate studies in Community Planning at the University of Maryland. He is an active member of the Florida Chapter of the American Planning Association and the Florida City/County Management Association.
