Safety Action Plan

The City of Key West has adopted a City-wide Comprehensive Safety Action Plan in support of its Vision Zero goal of zero roadway fatalities and serious injuries by 2035.

Although the Safety Action Plan was adopted in March of 2026, the community is invited to learn more and to participate by interacting with the project resources and providing comments at public meetings. Regular updates will be shared at Sustainability Advisory Board meetings.

The Safety Action Plan was funded in part by the USDOT Safe Streets and Roads For All Grant program (SS4A). The City of Key West has been awarded $502,400.00 for demonstrating safety projects identified within the plan.
