Beach Wedding Events

One of the most sought-after venues in the country, Key West is a popular spot for romantic beach weddings. Located in Monroe County and about 120 miles from the mainland, an array of beautiful tropical birds make Key West their home. The whole island is a bird sanctuary, and your wedding photographer will likely capture a pelican, crane, heron, wild parrot, or sandpiper as part of the shots on your big day.

Key West's palm-lined beaches and stunning sunsets provide the perfect backdrop for saying 'I do.' With 2600 linear feet of sparkling sand beach, Key West is the ideal stage for your beach wedding.

Turtle Nesting Season:

From March through October, sea turtles lay eggs on the beach areas in the City of Key West, and hatchlings emerge 5-60 days later.  Hatchlings' survival relies on keeping the beach clean, flat, and dark between dusk and dawn, when they head towards the water, looking for reflections of stars and the moon on the water.  Any artificial lighting visible to the hatchlings will disorient them.  No lights (tiki torches, string lights, lamps, etc.) are allowed on the beach after sunset during the turtle nesting season.  Leaving the sand flat is the best practice during the season.  Holes and mounds can cause nesting mothers or hatchlings to get stuck. If they become stuck after the sun rises, they will likely perish.  The City's dedicated Sea Turtle Nesting Season Awareness webpage is available by clicking here.
