Code Enforcement

Code Officers Week

The City of Key West Code Enforcement Department protects our community's health, safety, and welfare.  We continually strive to provide fair and equitable services to our citizens and visitors.  The staff serve as representatives of the Department and provide information and services to the public regarding code enforcement.  We will exhibit professionalism through continued education and teamwork to accomplish our mission.

Code Enforcement will no longer investigate reports submitted anonymously.

Per Florida State Statute (FSS) 162.06 (b), persons who report potential violations of our Code of Ordinances shall provide their name and address to the City of Key West.  We cannot investigate anonymous complaints that come from an anonymous source.

Report a Violation

There are several methods to report a violation.  You can come to City Hall between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM Monday through Friday. You can file a complaint with the City, call Code Enforcement, e-mail a complaint,  or submit a request through our See Click Fix app.  The office at City Hall is closed after 5:00 PM and on weekends and holidays.  However, to report a possible code violation when the office is closed, call (305) 809-3740 and leave a message or call the Key West Police Department at (305) 809-1000.
