The Monroe County School Board hosted a joint meeting with City officials and the Key West Housing Authority to talk about its long-term vision for the Trumbo Point property. The informal meeting was followed by a walk-through – really a ride through with the help of golf carts -- of the facility and a discussion of ideas.
This gathering is an early step toward sharing the visions of each entity as to the future land use of these adjacent properties: Trumbo Road properties owned by the District and the Housing Authority’s Porter Place. The organizations are planning for extensive community engagement on the project.
