[ARCHIVED] Tara Stansbury celebrates 20 Years of Service

City Seal

During the August 17th City Commission meeting, City Manager Patti McLauchlin recognized Tara Stansbury for her 20 years of service. In holding with a time-honored tradition, she presented a gold watch to Stansbury.

Tara came to work for the City in 2001 as an accounting clerk in the Finance Department. In 2010 she was promoted to an administrative assistant in public works and was, in 2016, reclassified as the administrative coordinator.

“Tara has coordinated ten years of special events,” said McLauchlin, “including Fantasy Fest, New Year’s Eve, and the Lobster Fest. Tara has dedicated countless hours to many of the holiday parades throughout the years.

“Most importantly,” said McLauchlin, “somewhere between work and her family, Tara earned her bachelor’s degree! We sincerely appreciate her dedication.”

“I hope to make it another 20,” Stansbury responded.
