FEMA FLOOD MITIGATION GRANT ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

The national grant program is known as Florida Mitigation Assistance (FMA) 

helps homeowners with the following costs.

  • Elevate
  • Demolish/Reconstruct
  • Sell

Monroe County is participating in this grant program.  If you are interested in applying for grant funding, the application period for the fiscal year 2021 (FY 2021) FMA grant program funding is currently open and will be closing at 6 p.m. on Nov. 9, 2021. The County encourages applicants to apply. There is at least $80 million available for individual FMA funding from FEMA. Applications submitted after this deadline will not be considered for funding.
