City Manager McLauchlin took a ride through the community last week to recognize a few exceptional people. She met up with Community Services' Lamont Woods, who was pressure washing on Duval Street. She wanted him to know what an excellent job he had been doing and that his hard work did not go unnoticed. She presented him with the City Manager's extra mile coin.
Next, she came across resident Karen Adams at the 1400 Duval Street Pocket Park. Ms. Adams was cleaning away seaweed at the corner of the pier to stop it from rafting up. City Manager McLauchlin thanked her for her commitment to keeping Key West beautiful and presented her with the City Manager's extra mile coin.
