Mayor Teri Johnston and the City Commission have recognized the Dive Bar Shirt Club with the April Keep Key West Beautiful Award.
The Code Compliance Department recommends the award monthly for businesses that significantly improve their property.
The Dive Bar Shirt Club, located at 320 Grinnell Street, was recently opened by Cody Shoemake in 2023. Shoemake has owned the building since 2022 and wanted to make his establishment as unique as possible. The restaurant uses reusable aluminum cups instead of plastic, benefiting the environment.
