Regulatory licenses and permits are issued by the City of Key West for activities that either support a primary Business Tax Receipt (BTR)—such as transient rental medallions, entertainment permits, and conditional use permits—or serve as alternatives to a standard BTR, including taxi or pedicab driver permits, street performer permits, and off-premises canvassing permits. These licenses and permits are granted in accordance with the guidelines established in Section 18-147 of the City of Key West Municipal Code of Ordinances.
